Everything was good, beside the food. At least for premium we had a few things in plus, that count.

The room and the facilities and everything on the premium side was good.

The food was not that good, as a 4 star hotel I was expecting at something else.

Nice Hotel with nice views

Liked the staff, everyone was super friendly and nice and I believe they are doing a great job. Thanks for welcoming us.

The food quality was a bit poor for our expectations, we had dinner in the self service restaurant only once.

Peaceful hotel. Needs an All inclusive outside bar as had to walk into nice outdoor bar and couldn’t if wet from swimmin

Junior suite was a little tired - grouting needs redoing few marks on sanitary ware . No morning tea / coffe making facilities . Lovely big terrace but no sun beds . No information leaflets, it’s on the TV but that goes too quickly to gain info

Great value, but not for everyone

Great spacious and comfortable "premium" rooms, extra attention to "premium" visitors. Better breakfast for "premium" suite visitors. Large double bed. Free tennis courts. Plenty of parking space. Well kept surroundings of the hotel. Great value!

Despite great value, this hotel is for those who can tolerate cheap wine, not so tasty food (we had a half board included) and really terrible coffee.. Coffee from automatic coffee machines was diluted with water. It was the worst coffee we had in any hotel visited before - that is definitely the shame of this Melia hotel. To be honest, there was a better coffee machine for "premium" visitors, this coffee was much better but still nothing special. And we were not allowed to make this premium coffee ourselfs - had to ask a waiter every time.. Furthermore, room service get annoyingly worse till the end of our stay, maids kept forgetting to add the essentials, or even clean up the room. Rooms a bit too old needs some attention, especially bathrooms. In the end, a tiny minus - it was not possible to do a late check out (even at 2 pm). Overall the rating is 9 only because of great value.

The location is specific upon a hill and therefore a great view but a bit windy.

Nice views and facilities

Room was very big and clean as well as the bed. The hotel is in the top of a hill so it has very nice view to the city. View to the mountain was also nice, when the clouds let us see the actual mountain, otherwise it was nothing special but still we had view. Pools were awesome as well as the gym and tennis facilities. We liked the fact that there are two pools available, the one being adult-only. Breakfast and dinner had many options to choose from.

We booked our stay with half board (breakfast and dinner included) but in the dinner drinks and soft-drinks were not included in our package and we had to pay extra. These were only for all inclusive customers.

Great hotel on the top of the hill with great staff. Perfect place when you travel by car (large parking) and want to escape a bit from the business of the city.

Beautiful grounds with incredible views

Perfect location - the hotel is perched on the hill and offers incredible views of the mountains as well as the ocean. The grounds offer a good variety of activities - baby (heated) and kids pool in one area, adult only pool with a waterfall further away to provide peace and calmness. Water is refreshing, takes a little bit of getting used to (we stayed in February) but then it's very pleasant to swim in. In the same area, there's a kids club, a gym, tennis court (extra fee), and some outdoor entertainment such as a large-scale chess game. Breakfast buffet offers a great variety and we also opted for a dinner buffet (EUR18 - make sure you get a voucher from the reception, otherwise the restaurant charges you EUR21) and we were not disappointed. Large parking around the hotel, easy to get a spot. There is a kids disco and a show every evening in the lobby bar which was awesome. Drinks at the bar are fairly priced. There is also a laundry room on the ground floor with a washing machine (EUR5) and a dryer (EUR4) per load, which is super convenient.

We were traveling with kids and the location wouldn't be convenient without a car - it's a good 30min walk to the city centre and the walk back is straight uphill all the time. Apparently, you can get a taxi for EUR10. The room comes with a kitchenette, but there is literally nothing there (no kettle, to utensils, etc.). The fridge works. Our room was on the ground floor and had a large terrace but nearly no daylight. The mattress was older and not comfortable.

Perfect hotel. Peaceful location.

Superb views. Spacious rooms. Great breakfast.

Just a very minor point - poolside snacks could have been better - would have been nice to have some more fresh options rather than chips etc.

Cold pools lets the hotel down

Hotel was clean breakfast was a little repetitive but ok for short break we had if 5 days. All staff very courteous, bed was comfortable which is a big one for me, rooms yes are dated but spacious but we had a suite.

The hotel information on booking.com and Melia stated heated pool, it is definitely not heated and very cold which is difficult for Children, pool heaters like a pool heat pump which is an inverter takes heat from the air and would be economical for the hotel to have, its 2023 and the technology is there so take advantage of the Canary island all year warm temperatures and use it. Also where the hotel is advertised the information about the pool being a heated pool is misleading and we booked the hotel based on one of the conditions of having a heated pool which is falsely represented, Sea temperature is warmer then the pools.

The hotel is nicely located and offered grate view over the city, also the breakfast was very good with numerous options to choose from also with some variations every morning.

Towel should be changed regardless where they were left of as of a 4 star hotel would do in general.

Wonderful

Great view of the ocean and at the other side of Teide, quite location with a lot of nature. Good quality of breakfast, fantastic espresso coffee with Necta machines. All the areas are very clean.

A good hotel cost benefits with incredible views.

First of all the views to El Teide and to the ocean were incredible. The food was great and a lot to choose from. The rooms very spacious and beds were confortable. The facilities like pools, table tennis, tennis court, pool table, playhouse for kids, evening events for kids and adults were again very welcomed.

The most unpleasent thing was that the water in the pool was colder than the water in the ocean. Also, the biggest pool for adults was restored during our stay. It was opened in our check-out day. Other things like squeeking door handles, no air ventilators at the bathroom.

Great.

We spend nice days in the hotel enjoying the really nice view from the premium 5th floor room. The premium room guests have separated calm area in the restaurant, so it was worth to pay a bit more for that.

Generally in the restaurant, the hot meal was a bit poorer than the remaining section of the food selection. The large pool was under reconstruction with high level of noise, but it is close to the ready state. (We did not know about the reconstruction work in advance.)
