NOT a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ hotel if I have to supply my own box of tissues.

Grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Staff at pool snack bar & evening Bistro were all friendly, accommodating and very pleasant and professional. Food was very good and very reasonably priced. Buffet breakfast was included and had a great variety of hot and cold options. We had a SEA VIEW SUITE. The room was spacious and clean but in need of up update and refurbishment. I knew this ahead of time based on other reviews and hotel photos, so no complaint there. The view was perfect. We chose this hotel based on location for day trips we were planning around the island. For that it did not disappoint.

1. A BOX OF TISSUES PLEASE! Not included in room. We had to purchase. 2. Safe didn’t work. Informed front desk and were told we could rent a safety deposit box. 3. Any in-room amenities are extra $$. Coffee maker, robes and slippers only available with “Superior” sea view suite or better. I’m hoping they also get a box of tissues. 4. Can’t get a cup of morning coffee/tea until buffet opens at 7:15

If you want to chill on the balcony take the see view room. The mountain view is a sunny and has an amazing view. But also has a noice from the road.

Breakfast excellent, spacious room and balcony, great location near highway and downtown puerto de la cruz without being in the heart of the city. Free parking.

No equipment at all in the little souites' kitchen. No flip flops, safe out of order.

Comfortable stay with beautiful view and good food, definitely recommend.

Very good location with beautiful ocean view from the balcony and amazing swimming pool. Tasty and diverse breakfast and dinner offer, friendly staff.

In winter season it might be too cold to swim in the pool. There was kitchen in our suite but with not even basic stuff like water boiler or cutlery.

Perfect hotel

I liked everything, especially breakfast and facilities (gym, swimming pools, garden) Special remark to Mr. Marcos, at the buffet restaurant (very kind and helpful). We stayed in a premier room, with seaview and it was wide, clean and very comfortable. Refurbishment of the refrigerator included as well as coffee etc . Housekeeping very gentle ad supportive (they also provided us a heater as it was very cool these days). Beds and pillow superb, almost never slept so well in a hotel.

The location is nice up on the hill, immersed in a silent garden but the problem, that doesn't depend on the hotel, is that in such a location is almost never sunny due to Teide mountain.

Excellent views but did not sleep well

Location is fantastic for good views to the ocean. Good environment, beautiful pool. Has bar, Italian restaurant in the terrace and some activities. Room was big, bathroom as well . New Flat TV in the suite. Good view from the room.

Mattress was horrible. I don't believe that a 4* star hotel can have such a mattress with problems. It is deformed, it is probably supposed to be orthopedic but with time it got deformed. Have back pain from 2 night's sleep. It should be remodeled in some areas. The Bath taps are already old and lost the chrome .

Tranquil location with stunning views

Great location on a hill with panoramic vievs on the Atlantic, Puerto de la Cruz and Mount Teide. The size of the apartment makes up for a bit dated decor. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice and plentiful breakfast bufet. Free parking, if you have a car, or shuttle bus service if you don't.

Not sound-proof ceiling, you hear the guests above you. Unstable internet connection.

Everything was good, beside the food. At least for premium we had a few things in plus, that count.

The room and the facilities and everything on the premium side was good.

The food was not that good, as a 4 star hotel I was expecting at something else.

Liked the staff, everyone was super friendly and nice and I believe they are doing a great job. Thanks for welcoming us.

The food quality was a bit poor for our expectations, we had dinner in the self service restaurant only once.

Great value, but not for everyone

Great spacious and comfortable "premium" rooms, extra attention to "premium" visitors. Better breakfast for "premium" suite visitors. Large double bed. Free tennis courts. Plenty of parking space. Well kept surroundings of the hotel. Great value!

Despite great value, this hotel is for those who can tolerate cheap wine, not so tasty food (we had a half board included) and really terrible coffee.. Coffee from automatic coffee machines was diluted with water. It was the worst coffee we had in any hotel visited before - that is definitely the shame of this Melia hotel. To be honest, there was a better coffee machine for "premium" visitors, this coffee was much better but still nothing special. And we were not allowed to make this premium coffee ourselfs - had to ask a waiter every time.. Furthermore, room service get annoyingly worse till the end of our stay, maids kept forgetting to add the essentials, or even clean up the room. Rooms a bit too old needs some attention, especially bathrooms. In the end, a tiny minus - it was not possible to do a late check out (even at 2 pm). Overall the rating is 9 only because of great value.

Nice views and facilities

Room was very big and clean as well as the bed. The hotel is in the top of a hill so it has very nice view to the city. View to the mountain was also nice, when the clouds let us see the actual mountain, otherwise it was nothing special but still we had view. Pools were awesome as well as the gym and tennis facilities. We liked the fact that there are two pools available, the one being adult-only. Breakfast and dinner had many options to choose from.

We booked our stay with half board (breakfast and dinner included) but in the dinner drinks and soft-drinks were not included in our package and we had to pay extra. These were only for all inclusive customers.

Beautiful grounds with incredible views

Perfect location - the hotel is perched on the hill and offers incredible views of the mountains as well as the ocean. The grounds offer a good variety of activities - baby (heated) and kids pool in one area, adult only pool with a waterfall further away to provide peace and calmness. Water is refreshing, takes a little bit of getting used to (we stayed in February) but then it's very pleasant to swim in. In the same area, there's a kids club, a gym, tennis court (extra fee), and some outdoor entertainment such as a large-scale chess game. Breakfast buffet offers a great variety and we also opted for a dinner buffet (EUR18 - make sure you get a voucher from the reception, otherwise the restaurant charges you EUR21) and we were not disappointed. Large parking around the hotel, easy to get a spot. There is a kids disco and a show every evening in the lobby bar which was awesome. Drinks at the bar are fairly priced. There is also a laundry room on the ground floor with a washing machine (EUR5) and a dryer (EUR4) per load, which is super convenient.

We were traveling with kids and the location wouldn't be convenient without a car - it's a good 30min walk to the city centre and the walk back is straight uphill all the time. Apparently, you can get a taxi for EUR10. The room comes with a kitchenette, but there is literally nothing there (no kettle, to utensils, etc.). The fridge works. Our room was on the ground floor and had a large terrace but nearly no daylight. The mattress was older and not comfortable.
